We are a dedicated team of weight loss nutritionist and dieticians trained to help you. Optimizing your diet is an important first step towards reaching a healthy weight. Unfortunately, there is a lot of misinformation out there about the best approach. While fad diets may give you results in the short term, they are generally unsustainable and unhealthy. 

We have successfully worked with hundreds of people, both men and women, looking to manage their weight. We are covered by a range of insurance plans and also provide affordable out of pocket options.

What Is Our Approach?

There is no one size fits all when it comes to weight management. Everyone we work with is different and needs a personalized approach. That said, here are some of the strategies we believe can help to achieve sustainable weight change.

  • Simple nutrition education. No complicated meal plans, fad diets or tricky recipes. We take it back to basics. We emphasize the importance of including a balance and variety of foods and tailoring a plan that is personalized to your needs. We debunk the latest food and health trends and focus on the latest science-backed evidence.

  • Specific calorie and macronutrient prescription. This isn’t the right strategy for everyone, but for those that like structure and numbers it can be a game changer. We can determine your optimal calorie and macronutrient splits through a combination of food logs and metabolic testing.

  • Intuitive and mindfulness eating. Our body’s have an amazing ability to tell us what we need, when. Unfortunately, over time, disordered eating patterns and external influences can throw off our natural hunger and satiety cues. We have the toolbox and experience to help you reconnect to these in-built mechanisms.

What does working with you look like?

To begin with we’ll have a complimentary 15 minute phone call. This will give us a chance to get to know each other and for you to learn more about how I could help you.

If you decide to move forward,  we conduct an initial consultation that lasts 60-75 minutes. During this session, we conduct a deep dive into your medical and nutrition background - this includes dietary preferences, eating behaviors and health goals. Before the end of the session, we’ll work together to set realistic, measurable goals to work on before we meet again. 

During follow -up sessions (30-45 minutes) we’ll discuss how you’re doing with your goals, work on areas of concern and develop actionable steps to keep you on track.

How regularly do you schedule follow up visits?

This varies but we usually speak every 2-3 weeks. It all depends on your needs and schedule.

How long do you typically work with patients?

The duration of care is largely determined by your needs and preferences but we recommend working together for a minimum of 3 months for sustainable change.

Do you take insurance?

Yes. I accept Cigna, Aetna and Blue Cross Blue Shield. Copays apply. HSA is accepted. I can verify benefits before starting to work together

Can I cancel or reschedule my appointments?

I try to remain flexible to suit my patient needs. If you need to cancel or reschedule, 48 hours notice is required or a $50 cancellation fee will apply.
