Gut Nourishing Cranberry, Coconut & Lemon Balls

energy balls .jpg

Power up your gut microbiome with these plant-based, prebiotic energy balls.

A healthy gut is central to our mental and physical wellbeing. Adding prebiotic foods *such as green banana powder* to your diet is a great way to boost your health from within. Prebiotics are nutrients that can’t be broken down and digested. They provide fuel for our good gut bacteria. Benefits include: increased diversity of gut bacteria, the production of 'feel good’ neurotransmitters that support a better mood and balanced blood sugar levels.

Makes 8 balls, No bake time, just a blender required

Prep time: 10 mins

1 tbsp dried cranberries
¼ cup unsweetened shredded coconut
1 tbsp green banana flour*
¼ cup lemon juice
¼ cup almond butter (thoroughly stir before use)
¼ cup maple syrup (omit if following a diabetic diet)

  1. Mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl and transfer to a blender to combine

  2. Transfer combined mix back into the bowl and mix thoroughly together with your hands.
